About the Position 

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Safety and Security, the Security Officer will be responsible for performing the security and surveillance duties, as well light facility maintenance duties at Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads.

This position makes $19.00/hr

Security at Goodwin Living

At Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads, you’ll be at the front line of our efforts to create a warm, welcoming environment for all who live and work in our communities, as well as all those who visit. You’ll develop meaningful relationships with residents and coworkers, have a set and consistent schedule and learn plenty of useful skills.

Job Duties  

• Monitoring of security stations, operating and maintaining security and safety equipment. 

• Provision of security services through enforcement of Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads policies and procedures. 

• Communication (oral, written and record-keeping) for Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads security operations. 

• Respond to emergency calls as directed by the Facilities Management Director, Executive Director, Nursing Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor. 

• Maintenance of perimeter security at Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads

Job Requirements

• Previous Security experience required.

• Demonstrated knowledge of standard security practices.

• Demonstrated ability to operate telephone and surveillance systems.

• Demonstrated ability/technique for sound decision making in emergency situations.

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills for observation and documentation of incidents / investigations.

• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
