Job Summary: 

Position is primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Environmental Services in monitoring work activities of departmental team members and ensuring proper safety procedures are followed and facilities are cleaned and sanitized according to department standards.

The hours for the role are 7am-3pm

The pay for this position is $23-$24/hr

Job Duties:

  • Foster positive employee behavior and performance, give ongoing feedback to team members and provide performance input to ES Director.
  • Review and update team member schedules and work assignments Review timecards and PTO requests.
  • Train new team members on proper department procedures and safety protocols. Identify areas needing attention or improvement and retrain as needed. Monitor to ensure adherence to all safety measures, proper handling procedures and effective use of hazardous chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Perform daily inspections to assess quality of cleanliness in all resident apartments and common areas, e.g., trash rooms, stairwells, elevators, storage rooms, etc.
  • Conduct daily floor checks to ensure trash is removed and recyclables are properly collected.
  • Assist as needed with cleaning of resident apartments when there are any staff shortages to ensure the community is covered.
  • Provide weekend coverage as part of scheduled rotation.
  • Assist with setting up rooms for special events and activities by ensuring rooms are clean and furniture is arranged properly prior to the event; cleans rooms after events and arranges furniture properly as needed.
  • Responsible for daily stocking of supply carts as well as setting up of weekend carts. Ensure adequate availability of supplies and proper organization of linen and cleaning carts.
  • Ensure that detergent and cleaning bottles are filled and properly labeled in chemical closets. Conduct weekly inventory of supplies and submit order request to supply chain.
  • Escort vendors around property to ensure proper access and completion of work.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least 2 years of housekeeping supervisory experience preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, bilingual a plus.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with others.
