About the Position
The Goodwin Living Fall and Spring Internship program students enrolled at Arlington Public Schools the opportunity to explore the field of senior living and engage in many of the department that are essential to our organization. Interns can choose between three departments: Life Enrichment, Reception Desk, and Brain Health (Thrive Day Program). This program is 10 hours a week with flexibility based on the intern's school schedule. Interns will be required to submit all necessary onboarding documents and attend an orientation prior to their start date.
This is an unpaid internship.
Students will receive a resident mentor and have the opportunity to attend 2-3 professional development workshops with our leadership team.
Applications are accepted and positions are filled on a rolling basis.
Job Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled at Arlington Public Schools (Must be 16+)
- Ability to relate to and work with team members and their department
- Creates a welcoming, friendly and adaptable environment for those they serve and work with
- Be interested to work with a diverse population of older adults
- Have a can-do mindset and be excited to learn about all we have to offer
- Proficient with email communications and knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus
Job Duties
- Follow all procedures of the host department
- Engage in projects as defined by the host department
- Assist in day to day task of the host department
