About the Position

The Goodwin Living Winter Break 2025 Internship gives college students the opportunity to explore the field of senior living and engage in a department that is essential to our organization. Interns can apply for a position in the following departments: Home Health, Brain Health Thrive Day Program (with residents), Brain Health (program support), Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, and Life Enrichment. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until positions are filled. 

This program is 12 days during your winter break with 5-hour to 6-hour shifts plus a resident mentor. 

Interns will receive a stipend and a resident mentor.

Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in college
  • Ability to relate to and work with team members and their department
  • Creates a welcoming, friendly and adaptable environment for those they serve and work with 
  • Be interested to work with a diverse population of older adults
  • Have a can-do mindset and be excited to learn about all we have to offer
  • Proficient with email communications and knowledge of Microsoft Office 

Job Duties

  • Follow all procedures of the host department
  • Engage in projects as defined by the host department 
  • Assist in day to day task of the host department

Brain Health Thrive Day Program (with residents)

Activities, Resident Support and Family Education

Brain Health (program support)

Activities, Research, Community Outreach

Healthcare Administration

Social Histories, Cognitive Assessments, Supporting with Resources

Human Resources

Employee Engagement, File Management, Shadowing HR meetings 

Life Enrichment (resident activities)

Therapeutic/Wellness Activities, Project Management
